POSITION SUMMARY The EHS Coordinator is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in the compliance of OSHA and environmental regulations. This position is required to educate and implement all safety procedures and policies. The EHS Coordinator will facilitate and support a continuous improvement and safety conscious culture. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All employees are required to support Rosenbauer s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer. Ensures adherence to all relevant environmental, health and safety rules and OSHA regulations. Creates and maintains risk assessments while working with cross functional work teams on risk reduction. Educates employees and implements procedures and regulations to help prevent workplace injuries and reduce health risks. Tests workspaces for environmental hazards, such as exposure to radiation, chemical or biological hazards, or excessive noise. Assists Human Resources with work comp claims. Leads the Safety Committee. Investigates workplace accidents, assists in providing corrective action with the Supervisor to prevent future recurrences, tracks the number of incidents, and produces reports. Keeps up to date documentation for submittal of relevant health, environmental, and safety documents. Conducts new employee safety orientation, AWAIR, and regular ongoing employee safety training. Maintains a filing system regarding worker training and safety, and ensures competencies are completed prior to new employees starting job functions. Assists in the response to regulatory inquiries and inspections pertaining to health, safety, and environmental and emergency programs as required. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.
