Shenandoah University Copy Center and Campus Mail Assistant in Winchester, Virginia

Shenandoah University’s Department of Auxiliary Services is accepting applications for a Copy Center and Campus Mail Assistant. This is a full-time benefited position located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

The Copy Center Campus Mail Assistant will work in both the Copy Center and Campus Mail. In both areas, they will serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers. Sort, Distribute, and process mail in Campus Mail. Make copies, handle petty cash, and operate various office machines in Bulk Mail.

This position will report to two areas on campus. Estimated weekly schedule will be 9am - 12:30pm in Campus Mail, lunch hour, 1:30pm - 5pm in Copy Center. Times and locations of this position will vary with time of year, but advance notice will be given.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide Support to the Campus Mail Room by providing customer services to patrons, receiving packages, letters, and making deliveries across campus as needed.

  • Use a computer for daily and monthly data entry including mail meter machine and departmental charges. Assist with locker mail tracking and system of on campus mailbox assignments.

  • Provide Support to Bulk Mail and Copy Center by making copies, handling petty cash, answering phones and operating cautious office equipment.

  • Foster and maintain relationships with other campus departments.

  • Other Duties as assigned in both Copy Center and Campus Mail.

Required Skills

Education:

  • Required- Level: High School Diploma/GED

Qualifications:

  • Must possess basic computer skills and be willing to learn all campus mail and copy center equipment.

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and ability to pass a driving background check.
