Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager in Wallingford, Connecticut

Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor/Manager in the retail industry, based in Wallingford, Connecticut. This role focuses on managing and supervising payroll processing for approximately 800 employees across multiple states. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with software systems such as ADP and Kronos and will be responsible for ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the processing of bi-weekly payroll for a diverse employee base.

• Utilize ADP and Kronos software systems for efficient payroll processing and report generation.

• Ensure compliance with payroll laws across multiple states, including CT, ME, MA, NJ, NY, PA, VT.

• Work closely with the accounting team to perform various accounting functions and payroll audits.

• Process full-cycle payroll and handle any payroll-related inquiries from employees.

• Manage the payroll for a combination of both hourly and salaried employees.

• Ensure accurate record keeping and data processing for all payroll activities.

• Conduct regular audits of payroll records and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage benefit functions related to payroll and employee compensation.

• Handle multi-state payroll processes and regulations.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Payroll Supervisor or Manager role within the retail industry.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Knowledge and understanding of Data Processing and Accounting Functions.

• Prior experience in Auditing, Benefit Functions, and Compliance.

• Expertise in ADP - Payroll, bi-Monthly Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, and Process Bi-weekly Payroll.

• Experience in managing payroll for a workforce of 101 - 500 employees.

• Familiarity with Kronos and Kronos Timekeeping System.

• Experience in managing multi-state Payroll.
