Anywhere Real Estate Data Privacy Technical Analyst - U.S. Based Remote in Baltimore, Maryland

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Data Privacy & Regulatory Compliance team, a part of the Global Information Security department, the Data Privacy Technical Analyst position plays a critical role in supporting compliance with technical parameters as it pertains to regulated data requirements. This involves working with teams across the organization, understanding and assessing regulatory and industry compliance requirements, and providing support using internal and compliance technical tools with the overall responsibility to ensure data Security and compliance requirements are met.

An understanding of IT Security controls & the fundamentals of regulatory compliance, and internal & external audit processes/engagements is key to this role. Overall proficiency in information security and/or data privacy technical requirements, risk remediation plan development, and technical experience with masking and scanning tools will set you up for success.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is seeking entry into the data privacy field and will have a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to a continuously changing regulatory landscape. The Technical Analyst role will be supporting a program with high visibility and forward-facing interaction with all levels of business & technology. Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or related discipline

  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with data masking and scanning technologies across multiple platforms

  • Familiarity with the Informatica TDM application.

  • Working on API management platforms or gateways.

  • Assist in testing and validation of data masking solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

  • Working experience with M365 Purview and components in the security suite.

  • Assist with data masking processes and monitor job execution to ensure successful completion and data integrity.

  • Demonstrated experience with PL/SQL language, Power/Shell, and Python scripting is required.

  • Basic understanding of databases, SQL, and data management concepts.

  • Ability to demonstrate broad technical skills across IT and competency in Information Security disciplines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data privacy requirements and assist in the designing of appropriate data masking strategies.

  • Certification in data privacy/security is a plus.
