Description:

• The mechanical technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot or repair production equipment

• Installs and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and equipment manuals in industrial environment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools

• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, for example wood, cement, and steel

• Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs

• Assembles machines, and bolts, welds or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools

Worksite Location/Project - Venice, Florida- 6 months (contract-to-hire) - could be longer

Pay Rate: $28-32 p/hr

Shift: 7:00am-5:30pm (Monday-Saturday)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: experience with PVC - experience installing compressed air, water, hydraulic and vacuum lines

• Must have LIGHT rigging

• 5+ years’ experience in the mechanical equipment trade

• OSHA 10 or 30
