Robert Half HR Generalist in Valley Village, California

Description

This role is Hybrid but must be willing to commute to Valley Village 3 times a week*

A dynamic and growing company located in Valley Village is looking for an HR Generalist to join their team. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in our human resources department, overseeing a variety of HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide resolutions in line with company policies and legal requirements

• Administer performance management processes including performance appraisals, development plans, and corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Maintain and update employee records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements

• Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to support employee growth and organizational effectiveness

• Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws

• Resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly

• Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, benefits enrollment, and addressing employee inquiries

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, while communicating and enforcing company policies and practices

• Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives to support strategic goals and organizational growth

Skills:

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, HRMS, About Time

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions, Compensation Administration, Compliance, and Employee Relations

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an HR Generalist

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is required

• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is necessary

• Must have working knowledge of Ceridian, HRMS, and About Time

• Demonstrated experience in Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Understanding of Compliance within the non-profit sector

• Proven track record in Employee Relations

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle issues of a sensitive nature

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe

• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
