Robert Half Administrative Associate in Springfield, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts as an Administrative Assistant, primarily working in Provider Enrollment. This role is based in the healthcare industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the revenue of our health system through the maintenance of providers with government and commercial health plans.

• Handle the initial enrollment, re-enrollment, and termination of participation for our physicians and other professional providers.

• Maintain effective communication with internal and external parties, including individual providers, practice managers, and credentialing departments.

• Primarily responsible for provider re-enrollment, termination activities, and supporting initial enrollment work.

• Gather, compile, and maintain renewed licensure, board, and insurance information in provider enrollment files and databases.

• Review provider information for accuracy and completeness and follow-up with providers to fill in any gaps in the information.

• Assist in follow-up work with health plans in a way that assures minimal or no delays in ascertaining the status of applications.

• Maintain orderly, complete, and up-to-date files on each individual provider.

• Adhere to established procedures and controls to provide follow-up and reporting on outstanding provider enrollment issues.

• Maintain provider enrollment reports and other records of provider enrollment activity. Requirements • Proficient in communication, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with various partners and external parties

• Demonstrated skills in reporting and reviewing documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Knowledge of administrative procedures and planning processes, managing and streamlining office operations

• Experience with database management and workstation support for smooth information flow and record keeping

• Familiarity with insurance procedures, including health plan, Medicare, and manage care

• Understanding of revenue accounting and business intelligence technologies for financial management and decision making

• Experience in credentialing, licensure, provider enrollment, and re-credentialing application processes within a health system

• Ability to handle terminations in accordance with federal agencies and corporate risk guidelines

• Knowledge of physician billing, focusing on accuracy and compliance

• Ability to work with health systems, payors, and other relevant parties to ensure seamless operations.
