Head, Supplier Engagement - Asia, Australia & Japan Clusters

(SVP) TTS Product Manager (Trade & Supply Chain)

Roles and Responsibility :

  • As part of the Supplier onboarding team for Asia the incumbent is responsible for end-to-end supplier on-boarding activities for Asia deals.

  • Overall responsible for the new supplier acquisition targets and score card for Asia.

  • Be a thought leader, spearheading Supplier engagement and acquisition in the region.

  • Plugs into the Fintech space in Asia and finds the right partners complementing Citi’s strengths.

  • Working closely with the head and supports in delivery of global initiative like PO financing, Dynamic Discounting, Deep Tier Financing etc.

  • Provide senior supplier engagement support on large mandates pertaining to Asia.

  • Drive the commercialization of digital strategy including tools such as Trade Onboarding System.

  • Comply with Internal Controls and Risk Monitoring.

  • Coordinate with Senior country/ regional Sales, Relationship Managers, Product, Implementation, Operations and Service teams to ensure seamless Supplier engagement and onboarding.

  • Launches initiatives and projects in the region that simplify and streamline supplier onboarding.

  • Define and expand Business development for Trade SCF Suppliers.

  • Define and execute a joint marketing plan in close coordination with TCM leads and Trade Sales for expanding business with Suppliers.

  • Outline and implement digital marketing, webinars, industry forums, through leadership articles for outreach to new potential clients with the Supply Chain ecosystem.

  • Thought leader spearheading digitization exercise across region.

  • Sales and relationship background as focus of the role will be relationship driven approach with suppliers.

  • Learning and implementing global best practices in the region.

  • Reporting to TTS Trade Global Suppliers Engagement Head, who works closely with the Products and Sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with multiple teams within a country, and the cluster, (e.g., risk, finance, decision management, marketing, operations).

  • Negotiate and make decisions on issues/activities having critical impact/influence on company revenues, capital, or business operations.

  • Utilize specialty knowledge to review, analyze, and develop beyond existing solutions.

  • Develop plans and execute functional strategies for large/complex country, multiple countries, or business requiring coordination and integration across units, as well as provide input into strategic decisions affecting job family or function within clusters/business.

  • Ensure solid partnerships and cross selling opportunities across range of products such as banking products, cash management, foreign exchange, credit, capital markets, and wealth management to deliver comprehensive services and solutions for clients.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with risk, business risk, compliance, and other relevant groups within Citi, as well as develop and ensure execution of the business strategy, and manage risk and compliance.

  • Partner with other global, regional, and country leaders to share best practices and drive business strategies, solutions, and client centric solutions to differentiate Citi in the marketplace and achieve substantial growth targets for the business.

  • Engage in internal and external negotiations.

  • Attract, motivate, develop, and retain executive talent.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • Over10 years of relevant experience in Trade / Transaction Services.

  • Experience working with multi-functions or global business. large, complex and matrixed organization.

  • Knowledge of risk management including credit risk.

  • Experience of driving large transformation initiatives across multiple regions, process mapping, process improvement and digital transformation and navigating internally to obtain NPAC, SIRR, GDR and other required approvals for Business initiatives.

  • Knowledge of International Trade and competitor products/services.

  • Knowledge of strategic direction of the business and functions across clusters combined with solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication. along with internal and external negotiation skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent.

  • Master’s degree is good to have.
