Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in the Real Estate & Property industry. The position is based in PORT JEFFERSON STATION, New York, 11776-1298, United States. As a Bookkeeper, you will be primarily responsible for financial report preparation, maintaining bookkeeping databases, handling client and customer payments, supporting HR administration, and collaborating with property managers and associates.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare various financial reports on a monthly basis such as general ledger, cash flow, trial balance, and monthly balance sheet

• Conduct account reconciliation and manage accounts payable and receivable

• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed

• Communicate with clients and customers to request and arrange payments

• Assist with payroll and HR administration tasks as assigned

• Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure timely and effective communication

• Deliver on deadlines and provide stellar accounting support to delight all clients

• Manage day-to-day relationships with clients while performing within established processes and budget parameters

• Use accounting software like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and month-end close processes. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge and experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Proven experience in Bookkeeping

• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience in managing Payroll

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial tasks
