GENERAL FUNCTION

As a Product Manager on the Oakley/Costa Product & Merchandising Team, this role will play a pivotal role in supporting the Product & Merchandising Director in the management and execution of projects that are essential to advancing our Apparel, Footwear, Accessories (AFA) Business priorities. The responsibilities will encompass briefing and line planning key AFA products that executes against strategic priorities while collaborating with these cross-functional partners:

  • Global Merchandising / Regional Merchandising

  • Global Design (Cut/Sew & Graphic)

  • Tech Development

  • Product Management

  • Sales Teams

  • Sourcing & Costing

  • Brand/Account Marketing

  • Planning and Inventory Teams

This person will oversee a range of product management categories, including comprehensive Go-To-Market execution, product creation briefs, line plan management, seasonal/annual product launches, and the management calendar deadlines and gates.

The role will also involve understanding marketplace insights, current trends within the sport lifestyle world, and full analysis of internal and external trends within the AFA marketplace.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work daily with design, development, brand, and merchandising teams.

  • Keep projects on task and communicate regularly to both internal and external partners.

  • Work closely with your triad team each week to lead, update, and deliver on product creation calendar timelines.

  • Build product briefs, manage design reviews, external partner reviews and approvals, sample order management and deadlines.

  • Drive key looks, assortments, line plan management.

  • Manage catalog and sales tools to ensure a smooth go-to-market product launch each season.

  • Manage samples and showroom.

  • Manage and own the SMU product creation process.

  • Assist in roadmap planning, story concepting, and product pulls for key vertical initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong product creation and intuition for business

  • General understanding of apparel product construction and sourcing process

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite and Mac operating system

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Must be organized, extremely detail oriented, able to multitask, independent as well as a team player in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Attention to detail and deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with the Adobe suite is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Water Sports and Fishing is a plus.

​Pay Range: 104,303.60 - 157,724.80

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
