The leader will join the MedTech Supply Chain Digital & Business Transformation (DBT) organization is responsible for leading and deploying the global testing and validation strategy, including updating, communicating, supervising the strategy’s deployment on DBT programs. This role involves crafting, implementing, and refining tools and methodologies to enhance traceability and alignment with project & compliance requirements. The leader will develop methodologies and standards gathered within a global testing template, deployed by Project Test Leads across DBT programs. The Global Test Lead will act as DBT’s point of contact for testing activities that do not have a dedicated DBT Testing Leader, sharing consistent methodologies and standards to maintain quality.

A successful candidate demonstrates extensive experience in implementing testing strategies to a regional or global audience. The leader must have tight-knit collaboration skills and an ability to connect with a variety of partner groups. They will use proficiency in automation tools and risk management to navigate different testing environments and project teams. The candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies and interdependencies with Design, Build, Data and Compliance teams, and they will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Global Testing & Validation Template Design : Ensure adherence to global standards, protocols, and standards to deliver consistent testing support to all DBT projects by creating the global testing & validation template for DBT. Meet developing testing requirements by reviewing DBT’s testing landscape and reflectinbroag changes to DBT testing needs in an updated global testing & validation template. Work with the Testing & Validation Leader to maintain the global testing & validation template’s alignment to DBT’s testing strategy and broader DBT program needs. Work closely with the Testing Tools Enablement & Automation Lead to embed automation effectively throughout DBT’s testing tools and within the global testing & validation template.

  • Testing Center of Excellence Establishment : Deliver testing as-a-service to DBT projects by sharing consistent testing methodologies and standards. Maintain DBT projects’ adherence to the global testing & validation template by providing governance and oversight for DBT testing activities. Act as the key point of contact for testing and provide project teams with DBT’s global testing template to maintain adherence to DBT’s testing standards.

  • E2E Testing Process Validation: R esponsible for the testing entry and exit criteria and all validation governance for DBT projects. Act as the key point of contact for DBT Testing Leads, JJT and business counterparts, and contractors as they navigate validation across the testing lifecycle. Support DBT project testing teams in leading data, defects, security, change impacts, compliance, and analytics as part of validation.

  • Testing Compliance Adherence & Risk Management: Act as the accountable leader for all testing procedures and activities (e.g., evidence gathering) in adherence to DBT standards, broader J&J policies, and external regulations, collaborating with the DBT Business Process Governance & Compliance Lead to ensure compliance. Establish, implement, and maintain testing compliance standards within the global testing and validation template. critical metrics for program health, publishing, and leading forums to address risks. Conduct regular testing audits to identify discrepancies. Provide training and guidance on compliance requirements and work closely with internal and external partners to build remediation plans and support resolution. Work directly with partners throughout the J&J enterprise (Global) to maintain compliance. Set governance for the identification and management of risks during testing.

  • Regression Testing: Provide direction and oversight on Regression Testing. Maintain consistency in regression testing across all stages of the DBT project lifecycle by working closely with the Solutions Management team for post-deployment DBT regression testing activities. Identify improvement and automation opportunities where possible.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Industrial engineering preferred, advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable.

Experience and Skills:

  • Shown experience on regional or global testing initiatives within

  • Requires strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and standard processes.

  • Strong presentation skills for effective collaboration with partners and team members, backed by proven ability.

  • Demonstrated hands-on project management/delivery experience.

  • Ability to effectively run projects, timelines, and organizational change.

  • Requires ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement across the business

  • Proficiency in various testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, LoadRunner).

Required Skills:

  • Exposure to Agile Framework Methodology concepts and Jira tool knowledge

  • Experience in Key Performance Indicators development, monitoring and tracking

  • Strong experience in developing and leading testing responsibilities to identify, raise, and mitigate risk is required.

  • Thorough understanding of supply chain processes, testing, validation, data, ERP, and ecosystem, including technology and team members involved throughout is required.

  • Demonstrated hands-on testing experience required.

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to collaborate effectively in leading large-scale projects is required.

  • Ability to work flexibly, work in ambiguous situations, and handle multiple tasks is required.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to understand sophisticated systems, identify potential issues, and design tests to uncover them are required.

  • Proven track record to collaborate across franchises, business sectors, and fields is required.

  • Ability to handle risks, including identifying potential testing bottlenecks and proposing mitigation strategies is required.

Preferred Skills

  • Strategic leadership in testing, validation, and data with experience building new/enhancing existing capabilities is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of MedTech Devices, Supply Chain or Commercial Operations is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and S4 compliance activities is preferred.

  • Strong customer focus (internal & external) and experience leading professionals from multiple subject areas is preferred.

  • This position will require up to 25% travel.
