Job Summary

Talent & Succession Planning for Disney Experiences (DX) is looking for a Talent Planning & Insights Manager based in FL for a role that will report to the Director, Talent & Succession Planning, to work with HR and other related functional business leaders to design and implement programs and support tools to enable advanced talent planning practices, succession planning strategies, and effective systems supporting annual employee performance processes.

About the Role & Team

The Disney Experiences (DX) Talent & Succession Planning team is a global segment-focused team that develops and leads talent strategies for all levels of leaders and applying these strategies to plan and place talent toward critical organizational roles over time. These strategies include partnering on leadership and executive development programs, technology solutions, and integrated processes to support the identification of talent and their growth at various points of their career and aligning placement and opportunities grounded in business priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with HR partners and business leaders to create and deliver talent development solutions that address business needs.

  • Design and implement programs that supply the organization with trained executives in accordance with the organization's talent plans and strategies

  • Coordinates systems and processes in the effective documentation and storage of annual performance management activities, including but not limited to, appraisal, counseling, promotion and placement

  • Leverage workforce analytics to identify talent development strategies and evaluate their impact on business performance.

  • Integrate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) strategies throughout talent strategies

  • Partner with HRBPS and Company Leaders to improve leader trainings including quality conversations/crucial conversations/managing conflict and leading through change

  • Support the tools and process that enable strong career development paths unique to client groups (e.g. Technologists)

  • Design and implement tools to support the talent calibration process

  • Rigorously keep up with consulting/training industry trends to provide effective and relevant learning solutions to client groups.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across the HR and business community

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of multifaceted experience in performance consulting, training, learning and development, organizational development, culture transformation and/or team development

  • Strong consultant skills and prioritization/organization skills in a fast-paced business and learning environment

  • Ability to gain credibility and influence executive audiences with strong executive interpersonal skills

  • Proven project management, organizational skills and confidentiality with critical information

  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data to make strategic recommendations and the ability to see gaps and improve accuracy of data-driven decision making

  • Ability to stay on top of industry and organizational knowledge

  • Ability to build relationships with teams across units and geographies, adjusting style where appropriate

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a learning and development or performance consultant for a Fortune 100 company

  • Extensive knowledge in talent and development strategies

  • Experience with talent strategies for sophisticated businesses that include a spectrum of employee types, from executive to entry-level including related certifications

Required Education

  • BA/BS in Business, Education, Instructional Design, Psychology, Performance Consulting, Training/Curriculum Development, Communications, or related field – OR – Relevant equivalent experience

Preferred Education

  • Advanced Degree or equivalent experience in Education, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Behavior/Psychology, or Organizational Development/Effectiveness

  • Formal certification/education/experience in applying learning models, adult development theory, or curriculum development
