Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of and maintain company estimating standards.

  • Partner with the Sales team to participate in client visits, discuss client’s needs, and as a SME explain how ICG’s innovations can help the client accomplish their goals.

  • Organize and complete review of structural, mechanical, and architectural plans for material estimations.

  • Work with the ICG Wall panel and Truss teams for potential design and/or VE opportunities.

  • Provide accurate material estimations for frame shell, wall panelization or stick frame, truss, hardware, and other ICG scope offerings as chosen by the client.

  • Process orders once the sales team has verified and approved the estimation and sales order.

  • Develop, maintain, and organize master plan and plan option take offs for each client.

  • Serve as the analytical voice between internal departments to service the client’s needs.

  • Partner with the procurement and finance departments on updated costing.

  • Partner with the innovation team to understand new opportunities that ICG may be able to provide and incorporate them into the estimation and sales process.

  • Provide alternative product/material options to the sales team that offer cost benefits or other benefits to our clients.

  • Conduct Field site visits to verify usage against estimations focusing on quantities of materials used.

  • Conduct random inventory spot checks by reviewing the estimation vs. panel, truss, loose lumber, and fill-in orders and report out monthly deviations and root cause.

  • Performs additional job functions deemed relevant and assigned by supervisor.

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, business or finance or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of framing and construction experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of construction techniques, construction documents, and building codes.

  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) a plus but not required.

  • Knowledge of structural engineering elements and product installation means and methods.

  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g. CAD, Bluebeam, Appwright, and Microsoft products).

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
