Job Summary: Havel is looking for a Temperature Controls Estimator in Indianapolis, IN. In this position, you will be responsible to accurately estimate the lowest cost to provide the organization the opportunity to be as competitive as possible.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Understand our Building Automation Products and services to provide the right solution for our clients

  • Provide Electrical Estimates including labor and installation materials on all assigned projects

  • Select the proper Building Automation Products and End Devices, estimate the technical support labor, for a complete estimate for use by the sales team

  • Complete all quotation forma accurately using divisionally established pricing structure for labor, materials, equipment rental, subcontractors, profit, and overhead

  • Work with the Purchasing Agent to establish lowest possible cost on all major quoted equipment and materials

  • Review manpower availability with the Operations Manager to ensure lowest possible rates for bidding purposes

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, business management or equivalent and three to five years of experience in facilities or HVAC services; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, piping system for design, estimating and sales

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Mathematical and financial skills

  • Enjoy business development aspects of networking and attending industry events

  • Strong understanding and interest in modern technologies
