Aston Carter Contracts Manager in Herndon, Virginia

Our client in Herndon VA is immediately hiring for a Contracts Manager to join their team. This is a full time permanent role and pay will vary based on years of experience. Qualified candidates will have an interview scheduled within 48 hours of resume submission.

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of Federal Contracts experience required.

  • FAR and DFAR experience required.

  • Experience managing the contracts process.

  • Must be willing and able to obtain a clearance.

  • Must have high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.

  • Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution.

  • Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.

  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding proposals, contract status, compliance, modifications, etc.

  • Manage the contract day-to-day by advising on the strategic direction, contract interpretation and consequences of action / inaction.

  • Proactively resolve issues and disputes, minimize potential for litigation and foster protection of Accenture's reputation.

  • Act as a liaison between the client, project team and/or business unit and Legal ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed.

  • Responsible for implementation of CM processes.

  • Acts as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and Legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.

  • Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance.

  • Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagement.

  • Achieves a reasonable level of understanding of major business areas (System Integration and/or Outsourcing) in order to communicate effectively with project Executives and provide relevant advice.

  • May provide training to Contract Management or program personnel.
