But to keep our business ahead, we need an amazing team of customer service specialists to help us maintain and grow the relationships with our customers.

We’re looking to hire a customer service apprentice, with a view that after this programme, you’ll move into a commercial apprenticeship role, ensuring your progression and a career at XPO!

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday and play a pivotal part in learning and bringing new business to XPO.

This role is just the beginning of your growth at XPO. This apprenticeship could be the start of your career within Logistics and the commercial department….

We’re looking to offer a competitive salary of up to £25,000, with the possibility that during the time you’re on programme, your salary will rise incrementally.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Existing Customers

  • Maintain weekly contact with allocated customers and look to build long term relationships.

  • Provide spot quotes for allocated customers and resolve any operational issues.

  • Support with meetings for allocated customers and build short account plans.

  • Produce KPI’s on spot pricing for allocated customers and produce action plans for lost quotes.

  • Support your line manager with projects which will improve customer experience for all spot quote customers.

  • Escalate any customer, vendor, or operational issues to your line manager.

New Customers

  • Create and find fully qualified new business opportunities and book meetings for the Global Forwarding team.

  • Proactively calling leads alongside utilising inbound marketing sourced leads.

  • Support the management team in new customer implementation and own the implementation for any new spot quote customers.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • An interest in Logistics and serving customers

  • Be driven and well organised

  • The passion to succeed, get stuck in and learn as much as possible when on programme

  • A full UK driving licence (desirable)
