Applies broad plans of efficient operation. The Regional Manager completes and reviews project schedules, budgets, and progress with the PM. Assesses and resolves inter-functional conflicts. Ensures that projects are consistent with company strategy, commitments and goals. Regional Manager recommends personnel transactions and establishes work group standards, policies, and procedures. Regional Manager is responsible for the P&L, personnel management and the physical asset\'s for the location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Main point of contact between GFL and our clients.
  • Communicate with clients on design requirements, project schedule, and costs.
  • Coaches the PM on the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Defines project tasks and resource requirements with the PM.
  • Develop full scale project plans when needed.
  • Assembles and coordinates the regional staff.
  • Manage the regional budget and resource allocation.
  • Plans and schedules project timelines with the PM and Coordinator.
  • Lead weekly internal project status meetings.
  • Lead weekly project meetings with client.
  • Tracks deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to the regional project team.
  • Ensures project is operating within quality assurance guidelines.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the regional projects.
  • Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.
  • Supervision and approval of subcontractor invoicing.
  • Accountable to the regional financial performance.

  • Bring projects and tasks to successful completion.
  • Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, other offices, clients, and other departments.
  • Read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Coach, encourage, and motivate subordinates and other regional team members.
  • Defuse tension among regional team, should it arise.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Delegate and manage time and resources efficiently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Conduct research into project-related issues and products.
  • Willingness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering from an accredited college preferred.
  • Ten years or more of full-time project/program management related experience with pipelines, tanks and oil and gas facilities preferred.
  • Experience in all types of industrial projects.
  • Budgeting, scheduling, tracking, monitoring, and reporting within projects or programs.
  • Leading projects in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong familiarity with advanced project management practices, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficient in use of MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-comp etion projections.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Candidates should be within commuting distance of Mokena, IL.
