Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS), a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for an Audio Visual / Video Conferencing Installation Technicians to support Audio/Video Systems (AVS) and Services contracts.

The job responsibilities of the Audio Visual / Video Conferencing Installation Technician include the following:

  • Rack construction, preparing cable pathways, installation of network cabling

  • Termination test and labeling of network, audio and video cable

  • Uses Company approved installation methods and techniques

  • Ensures all work complies with company policies, procedures, and code standards

  • Assures each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation drawings

  • Maintain an on-going dialog with Shop and Project Manager, ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations

  • The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for maintaining his assigned equipment inventory

  • Turning in daily activity sheets

  • Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management

  • Follows and maintains proper safety practices

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Must be insurable

  • The successful candidate must have 2 to 5 years of experience installing audio-visual, teleconferencing, corporate video, control systems and related systems. Telecom and/or construction equivalent experience is acceptable.

  • Experience Using Specific Equipment, Tools and Work Aids

  • Must have experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades. This is inclusive of, but not limited to, wire strippers and crimpers for varying types of wire and cable, soldering tools/techniques, construction equipment such as scaffolding, hoists, pulleys, (concrete, brick & block) attachment devices, Unistrut steel support, etc.

  • Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time

  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding

  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds

  • Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places

  • Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places

  • Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail

  • Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities

  • Work sites vary from finished executive boardrooms to new construction sites. Majority of work is indoors, but site conditions vary drastically. Appropriate dress is required pursuant to the dress-code found within the Employee Handbook.

  • Projects vary in length and locations. Occasionally, jobs may be outside of the local area requiring overnight travel and stays that could range from one night to several weeks away.

  • Work hours will vary according to individual projects. Some jobs may require weekend commitments.

Working Environment & Conditions

The working environment contains various power tools, electricity, heights, construction hazards, etc. Therefore, all employees are required to take the necessary actions and precautions to ensure that all possible safety techniques and measures are employed. Must be able to lift in excess of 50lbs. Must be able to adjust to temperature extremes.
