Data Scientist Consultant

Deliver insights to help our clients turn data into action as a Data Scientist Consultant at GDIT. Your work will provide transformative solutions to our clients’ big-data obstacles and help advance the mission. Here, you can make a meaningful impact on our clients’ mission and on your career.

In this role, a typical day will include

• Use analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets; develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.

• Use Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning expertise to recommend solutions to business challenges and client needs.

• Develop effective and compelling briefings, proposal materials, reusable artifacts, and related materials for use by our customers, both internal and external.

• Lead development of proposal technical volumes and orals presentations

• Coach and advise solution architects and proposal support resources

• Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution

• Plan and help execute prototyping and technical implementation efforts. Candidates will be required to juggle multiple assignments and manage client and business engagements.

• Professionally engage and consult with external clients as well as internal stakeholders.

Your success in this role will directly impact GDIT’s technical capabilities across our divisions and fuel our growth. Your performance will be measured by the depth and breadth of technical impact you have on existing programs and in helping us to grow our business.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Master's Degree or PhD in a related discipline.

● Required Experience: 15+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Solutions Architecture

● Security Clearance Level: Ability to attain Public Trust and/or DoD Secret Clearance is a must-have.

● Required Skills and Abilities:

• Expertise in data science and data wrangling best practices, tools, and techniques.

• Expertise in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning using Deep Learning Frameworks, Analysts Notebooks, and Spark/Python/R Libraries

• Experience with large data sets including data integration, data migration, analysis and visualization.

• Experience with cloud-native data analytic solution architectures.

• Experience and ability to engage with Sr. government officials and C-level executives.

● Preferred Skills: Demonstrated experience developing and scaling engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data;

Strong communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and stakeholders;

● Location: Remote

● This position may require the need to obtain a security clearance, for that reason US Citizenship is required.

The likely salary range for this position is $176,446 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
