The Cypress Creek Solutions (CCS, Solutions, the Company) organization seeks to increase energy sustainability and security by maximizing solar and storage asset performance throughout the US. Our mission is to see underperformance and sell solutions that deliver the best megawatt hours for our customers. CCS currently own’s 2.4 GW of solar and energy storage assets and operates an additional 3.3 GW on behalf of third-party customers.

Overview

The Vice President (VP)/Senior Director of Finance for Solutions will have responsibility for the strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the Solutions, including financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and fund management, reporting to the CFO of CCR. The VP/Senior Director Finance will partner with Solutions leadership to continuously develop, refine, and execute the Solutions business strategy. In addition, the VP/Senior Director Finance will partner with the CCR Chief Investment Officer in support of raising capital for assets owned and operated by CCS. As a member of CCR’s senior management, the VP/Senior Director will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.

The Solutions organization owns, operates, and maintains 5.6 GW of solar and battery storage projects throughout the United States. We are looking for a team member who is excited by a fast pace and rapidly growing industry and is eager to make CCS the leading solar and storage owner and operator.

Responsibilities

  • Directly lead the financial planning and analysis team members supporting CCS including but not limited to cash management, financial forecasting, financial analysis, and budgeting;

  • Directly lead the fund management team members responsible for fund financial analysis, tax equity analysis, fund cash management, and financial sensitivity analysis.

  • Collaborate with the VP Accounting and Company Accountants for Operational Accounting, Monthly Close, and routine Fund Audits;

  • Provide strategic recommendations to CCS leadership and members of the executive management team;

  • Oversee the preparation of all monthly financial reporting;

  • Advise on long-term business and financial planning;

  • Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization

  • Provide commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets;

  • Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded operational, and CCS remains compliant with all federal and state laws;

  • Collaborate closely with CCS senior management to execute the CCS business strategy;

  • Advise and collaborate with CCRs Chief Investment Officer on company, portfolio and/or project level refinancing's; and

  • Develop and implement financial processes, best practices, tools, and automation to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows;

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in finance related activities in the renewable energy and/or power generation industry.

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through complex challenges.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean practices and change management.

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics with an MBA and/or CPA desired

  • Ability to drive organizational change.

  • Strong financial acumen with business modeling experience.

  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail and accountability.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.

Location: Position will be based out of our Durham, NC office and will be on a hybrid in-office schedule also open to Remote DOE.
