Aston Carter Payroll Specialist in Denver, Colorado

Description:

  • Familiar with reading and interpreting union contracts

  • Full Cycle Payroll

  • Union and Bi-Weekly- its corporate and union (2500-3000 employees)

  • During week off- go through 401K funding, working with benefits for new hires, audit new hires, high volume of employee inbox and monitoring that (24-48 hours to turn around emails)

  • This position serves as a contact for inquiries from employees and third-party vendors.

  • Will also provide back up and support for other members of the payroll team.

  • Going by the union contracts, this person will need to make sure everything is aligned with the contracts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST:

  • Experience with Ultipro and UKG

  • Min 3 years of experience with full-cycle payroll. (Meaning enter hours, process hours, review hours, audit hours adjust hours etc.)

  • High Volume experience- 2,000 employees or more

NICE:

  • 4-5 years

  • Union bi-weekly experience is highly preferred

  • Education: HS/GED required

  • Process improvement experience- get curious and understand WHY they do something
