Technician-Installer Level 3

Type: Full time W2 Telecommunications Installer Level 3

Location: Multiple COs around the Dallas area.

Compensation: $20 - $25 / hr

Job Summary:

The Level 3 Installer will shadow and assist the Level 4 Installer in overseeing multiple projects. The Level 3 Installer will be responsible for making sure all safety measures and protocols are followed and upheld to the highest degree. The Level 3 Installer must be able to assist in the reading of provided drawings and follow the Spec for the installation. The Level 3 Installer will also be expected to assist in the performance of Self-Quality Checks at the end of each project.

Installer Level 3 responsibilities include:

  • Capable of performing the following work operations/job activities without supervision or direction:

  • Addition or removal of common systems equipment/hardware

  • Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non- working equipment only)

  • Lead verification.

  • Prepare the forms described in Section D and E of ATT-TP-76300

  • In-process and final quality inspections

  • Capable of performing as subcontractor's in-charge person on jobs not specifically restricted to having a Level 4 person in charge as defined later in this section of ATT-TP-76300.

  • Job site supervision of subcontractor work.

    Qualifications-Skill sets required by a Level 3 Installer

     

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience, or equivalent as determined by ------------and demonstrated to AT&T in the equipment system/environment (e.g. common systems, switch, transport, power) being worked on

    A Level 3 Technician may be expected to, and must be capable of performing the following:

  • Climb a ladder.

  • Climb stairs (up and down)

  • Physically lift to 50 pounds (or more)

  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

  • Pull cable/wires.

  • Ability to wear protective equipment/apparel.

  • Operate safely on worksite.
