ManpowerGroup Installer II-Dallas in Dallas, Texas

Our client, a multinational telecommunication company is seeking an installer II to join their team. As an installer II, you will be part of the telecommunications department supporting team. The ideal candidate will know about installing, maintaining, and servicing telecommunications equipment in the field. Usually handles routine, less complex products and/or problems, receiving direction from higher-level installers on more complex problems.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Pay Range: $22

What’s the Job?

  • Executes the essential duties and responsibilities of an Installer I, plus

  • Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only and switchboard cable only)

  • Lead verification/continuity testing

  • May perform the duties of a Level III or Level IV Installer when directly supervised by properly qualified personnel

  • Successfully interpret drawings, plans, and specifications

  • Properly test and troubleshoot fiber/copper installations

  • Discuss media selection and implications for implementation on the network

  • Make recommendations based on applicable codes, standards and best practices

  • Interpret the job plan and scope of work, as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure

What’s Needed?

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., work outdoors on ladders, and in confined spaces, and work with/around electrical wires and/or ESD products.

  • Requires a moderate amount of technical knowledge of current Network products with minimal training performed and recorded on Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality assurance and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

  • A formal “Basic Installation” training course is required (or equivalent on-the-job training).

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation and sound knowledge of the phases of the product installation.

  • Electronics training equivalent to 1.5 years of technical trade school or military school, 1.5 years of field service.
