Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union Operations Support Specialist I in Cleveland, Ohio

*Job Summary: * Provide day-to-day operational support by maintaining necessary daily and monthly reports assigned, providing assistance to other Operations functions, respond to all front line inquiries and handle related operational issues proficiently.  The Operations Support Specialist will serve as a backup in responsibilities with multiple functions within the department.

 

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Keeps up to date and knowledgeable on all Credit Union products, services, policies, procedures, promotions, and branch operations to ensure consistency across all departments and provide quality member service.
  • Responds to and researches member account maintenance requests; fulfills member service requests as needed.
  • Audit new accounts, loans, and file maintenance activities to ensure compliance
  • Assists in online account opening requests and post-account opening due diligence items; assists with closing out audit exceptions to ensure compliance.
  • Process RDC transactions and IRA transactions,.
  • Monitors dormant accounts and closes out zero dollar accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Assists with monitoring compliance tracking software and researching alerts.
  • Completes subpoena and asset verification requests as necessary.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for management review as necessary.
  • Assists in processing Facilities requests.
  • Backs up other personnel in the department as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Degree, some college preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a same or similar role within a financial institution.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy, self-starter who can accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills; must have strong multi-tasking ability with well-developed time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; demonstrated problem solving abilities; a significant level of trust and diplomacy along with a high degree of confidentiality is required.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook; Proficient knowledge of the core system and its capabilities.

*Physical Requirements/Work Environment: * May lift up to 25 lbs.; Office work- must be able to use a PC and phone; hearing and sight are required to perform this job; may need to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer. Must have a valid driver's license to travel between branch locations.
