JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead Glazier As a Lead Glazier/ Installer you will lead one or more crew members conducting installations of glass shower doors, walls, mirrors or other glass centric products and hardware components in a client\'s residence and commercial spaces. The ideal individual must be technically inclined, have good written and verbal communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, dependable to work under little or no supervision. Compensation: From \$30-\$35/hour Work Location: Main office Brookfield, WI; working in locations throughout Milwaukee County/Waukesha County Shift and Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm, or part time if preferred (depending on installations scheduled) Benefits/Perks Bonus Plan Medical/Dental/Vision/Life & Disability Insurance/Pet Insurance/401(k) Paid vacation Paid Company Holidays Cell phone expense reimbursement Use of company vehicle during business hours Responsibilities: Provides reliable, high quality customer support and consultation with clients while on jobsite. Lead crew in performing installations, upgrades, and additions for glass shower doors, enclosures, railings, mirrors, countertops, and other projects. Reads and interprets blueprints and CAD drawings. Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools). Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks. Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks. Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner. Must have a strong work ethic. Must be detail oriented. Must complete other projects, as assigned. Required Qualifications: Minimum three (3+) years\' experience in the custom glass, metal framework and hardware industry Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes. Must be able to read drawings and / or instructions and install accordingly. Must have a valid driver\'s license and be able to clear a pre-employment screening. Determine plumb of walls or ceilings, using plumb lines and levels. Cut, fit, install, repair, or replace glass or glass substitutes, such as plastic or aluminum, in building interiors or exteriors or in furniture or other products. Set glass doors into frames and bolt metal hinges, handles, locks, or other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls. Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine size, shape, color, type, or thickness of glass, location of framing, installation procedures, or staging or scaffolding materials required. Drive trucks to installation sites and unload mirrors, glass equipment, or tools. Measure mirrors and dimensions of areas to be covered to determine work procedures. Move furniture to clear work sites and cover floors or furnishings with drop cloths. Cut, assemble, fit, or attach metal-framed glass enclosures for showers, bathtubs, display cases, skylights, solariums, or other structures. Load and arrange glass or mirrors onto delivery trucks, using suction cups or cranes to lift glass. Pack spaces between moldings and glass with glazing compounds and trim excess material with glazing knives. Cut and remove broken glass prior to installing replacement glass. Secure mirrors in position, using mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws. Assemble, erect, or dismantle scaffolds, rigging, or hoisting equipment. Cut and attach mounting strips, metal or wood moldings, rubber gaskets, or metal clips to surfaces in preparation for mirror installation. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Qualifications: Minimum four (4+) years\' experience in the custom glass, metal framework and hardware industry Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, above ceilings, etc. Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 75 lbs.
