AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO) Risk Analyst (1096591) in Birmingham, Alabama

Seeking detail-oriented Risk Analyst to review and process general liability, automobile liability, property, and workers' compensation claims for AMERICAN employees. Responsibilities include investigating claims, estimating financial impact, coordinating with third parties, arranging evaluations, approving payments, and pursuing subrogation recovery. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current licensed adjuster for Alabama or commitment to become licensed within 6 months, proof required
  • 3 years of prior experience adjusting general liability, automobile liability, property, and Alabama workers' compensation claims OR bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or related field, proof required
  • Familiarity with Federal and State laws governing workers' compensation claims
  • Completion of 30 hours of training every 2 years on relevant curriculum topics and changes in Alabama workers' compensation laws
  • Thorough knowledge of Alabama workers' compensation laws, including permanent disability and vocational rehabilitation
  • Understanding of subrogation processes
  • General knowledge of accounting principles

Ideal Candidate

  • More than 3 years of prior work experience adjusting general liability, automobile liability, physical damage, property, and workers' compensation claims in an industrial environment
  • Possession of a field recognized certification such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management), AIC (Associate in Claims), or WCS (Workers' Comp Specialist)
