FORKLIFT OPERATOR/SHIPPING & RECEIVING

As the forklift operator/ shipping and receiving team member, you will manage the flow of goods in and out of the manufacturing facility, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products. You will coordinate shipments, scheduling pickups and deliveries and maintain inventory records. You will communicate with carriers, suppliers and internal teams to optimize logistics processes and resolve any issues that may arise. You will also serve as the main point of contact for coordination of all external services related to facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, deliveries and preparing shipping documents Receive trucks and unload equipment and supplies using a forklift Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory records Communicate with carriers, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate logistics, resolve issues and meet customer requirements Package items for shipment in accordance to requirements provided for ground, sea or air transportation or according to customer specifications Oversee the scheduling and coordination of all external services related to facility maintenance (i.e. janitorial, landscapers, electricians, contractors etc.) Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs as necessary Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization of warehouse receiving and storage areas Develop and maintain relationships with external service providers to ensure cost effective and efficient service delivery Maintain a safety-first attitude and use the training, plans, policies, and procedures of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) system to protect yourself and your co-workers. Act as the workplace Health and Safety Representative Follow the Quality Management System and project plans, monitor conformity with procedures, and contribute to the companys continuous improvement strategies REQUIREMENTS:

Must reside in NY State, preferably Western New York or the Finger Lakes Region Must attend the worksite in Batavia in person daily, some travel. Valid drivers license. Experience operating a forklift safely and efficiently. Minimum 2-year experience in shipping & receiving or related field, preferably within a manufacturing environment Proficiency in MS Office suite particularly Excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to take initiative, organize and prioritize Attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively BENEFITS:

Pay: $19.50 - $24.10 per hour
