Kelly Services Maintenance Mechanic in Athens, Georgia

*Must have experience using a lathe, as well as MIG and TIG welding experience*

Pay Rate : $32.13/HR

Schedule: This role rotates between 1st and 2nd shift every other week with some Saturdays required.

1st shift: 7AM-3PM

2nd shift: Mon-Fri 3PM-11PM

first 2 months of training are on 1st shift

Location: Athens, GA

Duration: Permanent position with benefits

What’s a typical day as a Maintenance Mechanic? You’ll be:

• Repairing and maintaining welding, machining, and related equipment.

• Relocating assets to other areas within the facility.

• Performing miscellaneous structural repairs.

• Fabricating or reconditioning parts or components as needed.

• Using skills from multiple maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the establishment in repair.

• Performing duties such as pipe fitting, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, and basic or mechanical equipment installation, alignment, and balancing.

• Repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have experience in equipment maintenance and repair on older/dated machinery.

• Have experience with gear ratios, belt drives, bolt sizes, and micrometers

• Having MIG and TIG welding experience

• Possess strong mechanical skills.

• Are familiar with welding, machining, and carpentry.

• Have the ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.

• Are detail-oriented and able to inspect and verify dimensions and clearances.

• Have a strong focus on safety and adhere to PPE rules.

• Are able to work independently and as part of a team.
